PLEASE NOTE: The term 'blackout' refers to the fact that the fabric is designed not to allow light to pass through it. Light ingress and bleed will occur through the gap between each slat and the perimeter of the vertical blind unit. Also this AbbeyNight Blackout vane has a colour co-ordinated blackout backing to match the fabric front.
Colour & Finish
- Colour: A deep, cool dark grey—sitting between graphite and anthracite. Strongly saturated, with none of the brown or blue undertones sometimes found in mid‑greys.
- Tone/Depth: Consistent and even across each vane; visually stable whether lit from front or behind. It delivers a grounded, architectural feel.
- Finish: Matte with a soft, refined surface. The texture is extremely subtle—almost smooth—giving a clean, contemporary aesthetic without any patterning or visual noise.
- Visual impact: The matte dark-grey tone offers a sophisticated contrast against white skirting and pale walls. It frames the window with understated elegance and feels calmer and softer than a stark black while still reading as modern and intentional.

Material Look & Construction
- Fabric appearance: Slats made from a tightly woven polyester blackout fabric. The grain is minimal and uniform, providing a crisp fall and structured silhouette for each vane.
- Opacity: Blackout. Designed to significantly reduce light ingress for privacy, glare reduction, and improved light control.
- Practical note: Polyester blackout fabrics are generally low‑maintenance. They resist creasing, can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth, and hold their shape well. Ideal for busy homes, rentals, offices, and any space needing dependable light control.
